Outpatient Treatment

At Athens Treatment Services in Athens, Ohio, we offer medication-assisted treatment programs for opioid addiction as well as individual and group counseling. Our Outpatient Treatment (OP) program uses methadone, Vivitrol, and buprenorphine (Suboxone) to treat opioid use disorders.

Men and women receive treatment plans including individual, family, and group therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), grief/loss therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, spiritual counseling, and life skills training offered. Specialized LGBTQ+ programs and for expecting mothers. Medicaid and private insurance benefits accepted.

Levels of Care:

General Outpatient Treatment (OP)

Medication - Assisted Treatment (MAT):

MAT - Methadone, MAT - Buprenorphine/Suboxone, MAT - Vivitrol

Core Treatment Services:

Clinical Evaluation, Education Classes on Substance Use Disorders, Individual Counseling, Family Counseling, Group Counseling, 12-Step (AA, NA, etc) integrated into program, Telehealth intakes (available for buprenorphine patients only), Tele-counseling sessions

Treatment Methods:

Primary: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relapse Prevention, Stages of Change

Secondary: Anger Management, Grief/Loss Therapy, Life Skills, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Specialized Programming:
