Clearly much understaffed. It takes unacceptably long to get someone to come once the nurse call button is pushed. Some of the staff seem knowledgeable, others less so. Most do not seem particularly conscientious. Food has always been late and cold, and not diabetic friendly, even though I am diabetic. Compared to the hospital that sent me here, this place is substandard, most noticeably in the staffing ratio, Adding edit....2 April 2022, 12:42 pm I wrote about understaffed. The boss nurse says they are staffed to the requirements of their regulator, which I suspect is true. Still, being staffed to the bare minimum is not a selling point. Here is what the understaffed means in practice. This morning I knew I was going to go #2 in my bed. I pushed the call button hoping for a bed pan. In practice I was too late. By 11:40 I was finished. This is when I started watching the clock. The nurse call button call was still in effect. No one had come. At 12:05 someone came in and did something in a closet in the room, then left. They had to be able to smell the poop, but they did their thing and left. At 12:19 pm someone came in. I think they were just making rounds, not responding to the call, but they did change my bedding. In summary, from 11:40 to 12:19 I lay in my own poop and piss, in spite of the call button having been active the whole time. That is understaffing in action.

Great place to reside. I have been a resident at Envoy for six months and my experience has been wonderful. The staff are very good and attentive. I have no issue or concern with anyone there. I will strongly recommend Envoy for anyone that needs a good rehab.

I was a resident of Envoy of Alexandria Rehabilitation Center in February 2017 following my total left hip replacement. I chose to return to Envoy after my total right hip replacement on December 12, 2021. Envoy’s skilled nurses, technicians, occupational and physical therapists, social workers and activity coordinators are helping me to become self sufficient in caring for myself while managing my pain before returning home knowing how to maintain hip precautions to strive for a speedy recovery. The Director, administrators and other staff are phenomenal as well.
