HCRC Chelsea’s medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program provides comprehensive substance use treatment. We serve individuals affected by opioid addiction, improving their lives and those of their families and loved ones. Our patients get help from a care team of doctors, nurses, social workers and counselors. The MAT program offers individualized care, which includes individual, group and family counseling.  Patients interested in services may call or walk in to set up an immediate screening.

Every HCRC location provides comprehensive treatment that focuses on all aspects of addiction. HCRC specializes in MAT treatment with methadone, a medicine that reduces withdrawal symptoms. At first, the patient visits our clinic every day to receive their medication, giving them the structure they need to maintain treatment. With fewer withdrawal symptoms, the patient can focus on developing recovery skills.

During counseling, you will also learn coping skills to reconnect with others and manage stress. Additional Services From HCRC Chelsea

To help patients outside the clinic, we provide community learning opportunities. Our Young Persons Treatment Initiative gives younger patients the chance to connect with peers. They learn about opioid use disorder treatment in a welcoming setting.

We also welcome patients to visit us for guest medication services. If you need to access your medication from a different clinic than usual, let us help. Please keep in mind that we will need information such as your SSN and state ID to serve you.

TRANSPORTATION:

Chelsea is less than three miles from Boston, and Chelsea Station serves the MBTA Newburyport/Rockport Line. You can find it near Bellingham Square, north of downtown Chelsea. The MBTA also operates 177 bus routes in the Greater Boston area. Buses that travel through Chelsea include #111 from Haymarket Station, #112 from Wellington Station and #116 from Maverick Station.
