Now Open for Outpatient Counseling Services!

To better meet the needs of our patients, HCRC Peabody is offering telehealth counseling services.

HCRC Peabody provides outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Our clinic off of Route 1 offers early medication hours starting at 5:30 AM. We are an established program with a warm, patient-centered staff. Each patient has a unique treatment plan along with individual and group counseling. You can count on our decades of experience of helping people recover from their opioid use disorders.

Evidence shows that combining medication and therapy in a MAT program decreases the possibility of relapse. Our methadone-based MAT programs use a comprehensive approach that treats withdrawal symptoms and promotes a change in behavior. Your care team will support you through every part of treatment and coordinate your services. Learn more about our treatment options and values below.

Why Choose Our Methadone Clinics in MA?

At HCRC, we dedicate ourselves to providing patient-focused care that considers the person in addition to the diagnosis. Your care team will consist of doctors, nurses, counselors and social workers who want to support you during your recovery. During your first appointment, you will have a medical and clinical intake, where we examine every aspect of your health. Then, we will create a personalized treatment plan that considers your unique needs.

The Peabody clinic is one out of 10 total HCRC locations in Massachusetts. When you need care for your opioid use disorder in another part of the state, you can find additional HCRC clinics in select regions. We have a strong presence in the Boston metropolitan area and cities along the Connecticut River. You can also visit HCRC clinics in Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire.

TREATMENT OPTIONS:

HCRC Options for Opioid Addiction Treatment in Peabody

At HCRC Peabody, we specialize in MAT programs that use methadone to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The substance use treatment industry considers methadone the gold standard of care because of its effectiveness. When you take methadone as directed by your doctor, you can stop taking opioids with a lower chance of relapse. You will visit our clinic every day during the beginning of your treatment. When you meet the state and federal guidelines, you can take your medication at home.

Your individual therapy sessions will help you address the thoughts and behaviors behind your opioid use disorder. The counselor will teach you how to manage urges to use opioids and cope with everyday stress. They will also examine your past situations and traumas to see if you have an underlying cause behind your addiction. We aim to provide one-on-one counseling that helps you get back to living a fulfilling life.

Group therapy lets you connect with other patients and share your recovery progress. The counselor will lead a discussion about your treatment goals and strategies among patients going through the same situation. You get the opportunity to give and receive support in a group that wants every member to succeed. Talking about recovery with other patients also helps you stay committed to treatment and learn new coping skills.

TRANSPORTATION:

For patients eligible through their insurance, our front desk staff can coordinate transportation through PT-1 ride.  Patients who drive to our clinic may use our on-site parking lot.

My experience with this treatment facility has been outstanding across the board. Always treated with the utmost dignity and respect from the entire staff from the support personnel in the parking lot to the clinical and medical team and right upthrough the senior administration. I credit the kindness I've been shown from day one forward with literally saving my life. I will be forever grateful to these professionals. Unfortunately, the negative reviews seem to be the result of individuals that have difficulty with rules and that are burdened with a sense of entitlement that makes all things a struggle. There aren't any facilities of this kind doing a better job in my opinion.

If you are trying to get sober ,out of all the clinics this is the best around, very short time to get accepted and in, the counselors are very respectful and helpful, the nurses and the entire staff are super nice , it is one of the best clinics around, it also is a very clean clinic. They respect your privacy, it isn't like other clinics where you find people outside looking for new numbers and making deals, if you really desire to get sober this is the clinic to choose. They are busy at times, when this occurs they make sure to maintain your privacy, as they keep track who came in, and you sit in your car and wait your turn. The rules are posted everywhere, I have seen people not obey the rules then blame the clinic(it wasn't there fault) They do not tolerate, nor should they! racial slurs(i seen someone do this as he came in all messed up expecting to be dosed, and when they wouldn't he went off saying deragotory words, the staff handled it very well. If you desire to come up or down they ask your symptoms ,a new thing they are doing now is asking sponateoulsy how your feeling and if your dose is okay for you. people who go there and do not follow the rules should remember, we are the ones who chose to go there, we sought them out, they are only there to help us along the way of being sober! This is by far the best clinic around. I have recommended it to others, who have gone here,(over 10),and have successfully become sober.

When a clinic is only open from 7-8 am on a saturday, then closed for the next TWO days! AREN'T COUNSELORS SUPPOSED TO CALL THEIR CLIENTS, THEY OWN YOU, THEY HAVE NO MERCY. i SHOWED UP SUNDAY AND TODAY, WITH OTHERS IN THE PARKING LOT!! WONDERING?!?!?!?! Well I talked to my buddy and HE got a call from his counselor, but me? NOTHING, I've missed three days now because nobody called ME!
