About Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center in Layton, UT

Layton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) serves adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addiction. We offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT), an evidence-based practice that has been shown to successfully treat opioid addiction. Methadone clinics offering MAT utilize both medication and counseling, creating an individualized plan of care that addresses the whole person.

Our experienced professionals are dedicated to assisting people with this process. Attempting to end opioid use on your own can be extremely difficult due to the upsetting effects of withdrawal. But with professional treatment, you can have greater success in recovering from opioid addiction.

What to Expect at Layton CTC Methadone Clinic

We understand that there is no “one size fits all” approach to addressing opioid addiction, and that no two people are the same. Therefore, we take care to fully understand your needs before determining a treatment plan.

When you begin receiving services at our center in Layton, Utah, we conduct an initial assessment in which we learn about your prior opioid use and medical history. We also perform a physical examination and possibly a drug screening. This helps us determine which medication and dosage is right for you. At our treatment center, we use methadone, buprenorphine, and Suboxone.

Although methadone clinics have the reputation of only offering medications, counseling is also an integral part of MAT services. We offer both group and individual therapy, facilitated by qualified counselors. Through therapy, you can learn behavioral techniques that can help you avoid opioid use and alleviate stress.

Counseling can also help you address concerns that have arisen as a result of opioid addiction, such as strained relationships with the people in your life and declines in job performance. An added benefit of group therapy is that you can connect with others who are also receiving treatment for opioid addiction. This helps you feel like you are not alone in your struggle and that you can achieve recovery in the same way others have.

Supportive & Encouraging Treatment for Opioid Addiction in Layton, UT

Our treatment center in Layton, Utah, welcomes any adult who wants to recover from opioid addiction. We endeavor to create a warm and safe environment where people feel comfortable.

If you have developed an opioid addiction, you can contact our center in Layton for more information. We will gladly answer any questions you may have, and we can explain MAT and methadone clinics in greater detail as well. We are dedicated to helping you get started on your journey toward recovery.

If I could give this place a negative review I would. I am there a year and a half on the same medicine the entire time I’m taking subutex.. and I even asked to taper off.. then all the sudden the physician tells me that I am on too many controlled medicines that I’ve been on the entire year and a half that I’ve been there and he’s known about it so he’s not refilling my medicine which is going to put me in to withdrawal. Thanks a lot no wonder people go back to using. Thanks for setting me up. Hope it was worth it when you find out you killed me.

My experience at Discovery House: I have been going to Discovery House in Layton UT since early 2016, or for about a year and a half. I have been to one other methadone clinic besides DH to compare my experience to. It was called Metamorphasis (in Ogden, UT) and I strongly prefer Discovery House. The Discovery House employees will listen to your story and not judge you. The staff genuinely care, and IF YOU SO CHOOSE, you can actually get help. If you want to just take Methadone, stay clean, and do the minimum requirements each month, you can do that too but they will push you to do more. At DH you get back what you put in. I've had great counselors and met chill people in groups. Methadone clinics are usually awful places to get clean but DH feels like an outpatient center. Most clinics do not. Doc starts ur dose low and gradually raise you until ur comfortable. Then they taper you down (you decide when). The downside to these clinics is they cost $90/week unless u have gov insurance like Medicaid/Medicare? I think it cuts it in half ($45/week). As of August 2017 DH has great counselors, payment patience, caring nurses, great staff. It has its ups and downs. And it takes forever to earn privileges (like getting advance doses) but it's worth it. If you can't get off opiates then go to Discovery House and get your life back. First 2-3 days will be a little tough but not nearly as bad if u didn't come.
