I arrived at Lincoln Recovery a broken man. I had developed a drinking problem that I could not conquer on my own, and I had to reach out to professionals for support. The term "professional" is an understatement for the Lincoln Recovery staff and does not do them justice. The staff always treated with love and respect throughout the course of my treatment. As this was my first time in recovery, I didn’t know how much being treated like an adult rather than a prisoner truly means. That is until I heard some of the horror stories other patients had from previous facilities. Lincoln Recovery has their head on straight and their priorities in order. Their staff was always willing to lend an ear when I needed to talk, to provide council when my path was covered in fog, and to give a hug when I needed support. Their team of Therapists provide a wealth of experience and a variety of therapy styles. Each patient is unique, and this allowed them to ensure that they have something that would speak to everyone. Some, such as myself, found the Yoga and Mindful Meditation sessions to be extremely helpful. Others found the lively group therapy sessions to be what helped them the most. There was something for everyone, and the Executive Director was always willing to accept advise on what else they could be doing to support me and my peers. The food provided… Cannot be described with sufficient glory to fully encapsulate its divine splendor. The Kitchen Staff knows their way around seasoning, flavor, and variety. I had to rapidly develop willpower just to prevent myself from returning home 20 pounds heavier than I arrived. Jokes aside, I don’t believe I’ve ever eaten this well for such an extent of time before in my life. Leaving these gourmet meals behind was one of the hardest decisions of my life. The facility itself was immaculate, far larger and more accommodating than I had pictured in my mind. It felt more like I was staying in a 4 star resort rather than a recovery center. The lake, the pool, the pool table, the exercise equipment… all played a pivotal role in my recovery. The group outings were a blast, and helped prepare me for reintegration in to the real world. Lincoln Recovery provided me with knowledge and understanding of my addiction as well as the tools to combat it going forward. I have a greater understanding of myself than I have ever experienced before in my life. They helped restore my sense of pride and self-worth. Sometimes we need help, and Lincoln Recovery knows how to provide it.

Do not send your loved one here!! First couple weeks were good. Was told my son could stay after the 30 days if needed. At the 30 days, felt like they wanted him gone!! Actually kicked him out at night in the winter. No discharge planning at all!! We were planning on moving to another facility that day. They got wind of it and decided to boot him. Refused to give the other facility the records!! We were waiting on transportation and they just said get out or we will call the police. We live 2 hrs away!! Now my son was getting friendly with others patients but he is there to work out problems!! Why are they kicking sick patients to the curb!! You are a duel diagnosis center to work through these problems. That’s what we pay you!! I will be reporting this place. Like I said do not send your loved one here!!! Waste of money and time!!

Lincoln recovery is a resoundingly bad place to be. I was their. The psychologist believe thier only job is to read us content from materials you can find yourself on google. No original concepts for recovery. Staff doesn’t know what they are doing. They use sticky notes to remember everything and not a computer so naturally things are forgotten and overlooked for patients. Please don’t waste your time with Lincoln recovery. There are many better places that won’t steal your money. The place is supposed to be state of the art, but it’s essentially another stupid lockdown facility. Essentially a jail for all intensive purposes. But they do let you keep your phone. Maybe the only plus about this facility. And here’s the kicker. I am now in a lawsuit with them because when I left, they held my belongings unlawfully. They said they would mail Me all my belongings within a month. Left me stranded in lichfield Illinois without my psychiatric medication and I take kepra for seizures and they wouldn’t give me my medicine. All the good reviews you see on google are written by facility staff members to attract attention as this facility has only even been open for 6 months. Please Think carefully before considering this terrible facility.
