I've been working a Merriam Gardens for 5 and half years and I must say that this facility puts a lot of hard work and effort in making sure our residents are cared for properly. When we identify problems we diligently work to rectify them. When I walk into our facility it is neat, clean and odorless. I've have visited several other facilities and in my opinion our facility is one of the best. Our customer service to our residents and families is top notch, and our staff extends themselves and work hard to keep our residents happy.

Excellent service. Met many people if different back grounds. Had extreme workouts. The staff took great care of my wellness. I felt safe, happy and civil . I had my moments but was up lifted by God and a staff that cared. Sincerely, Keith A. Gaston

I wish I could give them 10 stars. The caring and compassionate staff are AMAZING. During my uncles illness he was in numerous rehabilitation centers/long term care facilities. We were truly blessed to find Merriam Gardens. My only regret was not finding it sooner for him. Everyone went over and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of, they treated him and us like family. The world would be a much better place with more care givers, nurses and administrators like those at Merriam. I can not thank them all enough! I would highly recommend.

My mother spent some weeks there for rehab, she loved being there and the staff loved her. She told us (her family) that if she needed to go to a facility that she wanted to go back to Merriam Gardens. On April 16 of this year we moved her and my dad to Merriam Gardens because they were getting to where they couldn’t take care of each other or themselves. Since they have arrived they are having a great time. The staff is amazing, everyone is so very nice to the residents as well as their family members. The family gets phone calls every week from the ambassador Gail or the social worker Jamie letting us know how our parents are doing as well as asking if we have any questions or concerns. Krissandra is awesome and very helpful with anything you need. The day we moved my parents in the administrator Levi introduced himself to us and is every bit as nice as the rest of the staff. We are very happy that our parents are at a place that takes such good care of them. I personally would rate them more than 5 stars.

Please don't come here or bring a relative here. The food is not hot and is barely warm. 95% of everything comes out of a box from the freezer. After being seated in the dining room I have waited up an hour and a half to be served my meal. I had to wait 2 days to get a remote for my TV. I asked the head maintance man to supply my room with something I needed and haven't seen it yet. When I got here they took away one of my meds and didn't bother to ask or tell me what they did. The place is also not clean. The bathroom in our room needs to be cleaned. I asked for toilet paper one day and they didn't bother to bring any. I had to go to an un occupied room to get some. I had a spill in my room 4 or 5 days ago and have they bothered to clean it up? No. Most showers In the rooms don't work. We have to use a shower room down the hall. Oh yeah, shower days are assigned and you only get 2 showers a week. Yuck. I blame everything on the corporation and local management and the almighty dollar. They squeeze the budget as tight as it can be to maximize their own profits. They switched meds 0ne day between me and my roommate. I caught it but my poor roommate didnt. Made him very sick. I catch at least 2 med mistakes a week. I really dont feel safe. Food, it is usually barely warm much less hot.
