Great place I been here for over a year I been struggling with addiction for 20 years I been to many places over the years. I found a place that meets my needs as a person in early recovery and found it a lot easier to piece my life together here. I got all the things I need to start a life in a short period of time I been here. If u have truly had enough this is a good place with caring staff.

Speaking from my own experience while living at a stepping stones house, I can say that i wouldn't have stayed sober for as long i have without it. The recovery focused mentality of the people running Stepping Stones has been indispensable. I plan on celebrating my ninth consecutive month of sobriety and it is due in large part to the men of Stepping Stones. It goes beyond just sobriety too. I am a more able and responsible human being now than i was before i arrived here. If you're looking for a place where you will be treated like human being while you get your life back on track, then i say look no further than these houses.

You have men tonight outside urinating in the bushes. Falling, stumbling into the bushes. They seem to be on something. Walking up and down the street. I have only seen those 3 men there tonight. They sure don't mind urinating and women outside!!!! Also this happened July 17, 2015. Some previous guys over there was trouble too. They do NOT cut neighbors yards nor do they take people's garbage out!! They only took the lady's garbage to the road because they was blocking the place her garbage is picked up. They have NOT DECREASED crime and drugs in the neighborhood!! Let's see, guys there have been drunk, high, on spice. Passed out in their vehicle. One Od'd and died in the living room!! Vehicles was broke into!! That house has NOT increased property value!! I'm so sick of the smoke blowed up people's butt trying to make everything smell like roses at that house. You have men over there NOT working but your video lies and says every one of them work. There has been a few success stories and I'm proud of those guys! Speak the whole truth and not cover up the bad!!

How is it possible or LEGAL to have a half way house in a residential neighborhood and or within 1000 feet of a SCHOOL!!!! There are regulations for such facilities but clearly our politicians are not following the rules for they keep pushing not only the envelope but keep piling up these facilities onto low income neighborhoods like these individuals have no say in the matter... What is one more facility....I do not have to live there, it does not impact me????? This house was placed there without notifying the residents. Update: The only thing these residents do freely is smoke. They don't take anyone's trash but their own. I don't see how you can say it has increased the value of houses... on the contrary it DEVALUES the houses in this neighborhood. Furthermore, these houses are in good repair and have been owned by the same owner for years. As to the crime rate, how can you tell... you don't live in this neighborhood nor would you expose your children to that. Are you trying to say that the Disabilities Act supercedes city guidelines of a half way house NOT being allowed within 1000 feet of a SCHOOL!!!! This house and the one on Belvoir are VIOLATING city ordinance!!! By the way... Its is not MY perspective. It is the OUR every day reality as residents.
