Wayside Is a wonderful place to get help for substance abuse and mental health. The staff is very helpful, and it has a good outlook on trauma and what is needed to pursue early recovery. It's great for women. There is a nice outside area right by a pond. It's definitely strict and has a lot of rules, but it's bearable. There's not a lot of emphasis on exercise, and the food is mediocre. Sometimes the drama with the girls was draining. "Not my circus, not my monkeys." It's good for all ages. They focus more on SMART recovery, and not much on twelve steps. However, you can go to meetings virtually. Over all, I benefited a lot.

Its like the workhouse with therapists, the RA staff is not trained in helping with de-escalation or panic attacks, however, the nursing staff - Reane makes it liveable. The peer support specialists are awesome though. If you want to get sober and have trauma, it's a good place to start. It's not Beuteareaue. But it takes MA.

Treatment and care was satisfactory while a close family member was a resident. However, upon transferring to another facility, this family member was discharged 48+ hours before the intake time at the new facility. She was offered no guidance as far as where to go or how to get there. Incredibly disappointed with such a calloused response from caregivers toward someone still very much in need of care.
